Introduction

The Triathlon Club of San Diego's Solana Beach Triathlon & Duathlon presents the classic beach party triathlon on July 22th, 2012. Come out and join the surf, sand and sun with over two thousand athletes, family and friends in the quaint surfside community of Solana Beach. With a surf entry swim and a flat bike and run course this event is sure to make your summer season a memorable one. And don't forget after you've finished your race you can head over to the Del Mar Race Track and bet on your favorite horse and watch him/her cross the finish line.

Team Solana 2012

Looking for a beginner-oriented full coached training team for the Solana Beach Triathlon? Try the Triathlon Club of San Diego's "Team Solana 2012." Team Solana benefits the TCSD Cares charity, and is a great way to train with a supportive and friendly group.

Pre-Race Check In

All athletes must attend the mandatory race check-in to pick up their race materials. It is mandatory for all athletes to bring their ID to the pre-race expo. We will not give any athlete their bib number without an ID. Please plan accordingly.

Athletes will sign the race waiver and pick up their timing chip, race numbers, swim cap and t-shirt. If you are not able to attend the expo, please select Personal Best Option, VIP Option or Mailback Option. Athletes who do not attend the expo or select on of these options will be required to pay a $10 late fee on race morning.

5:00 a.m. Parking Lot Opens
5:45 a.m. Transition Area Opens
6:40 a.m. Transition Area Closes
6:45 a.m. Duathlon Begins
6:50 a.m. Triathlon Waves Begin
9:45 a.m. Awards Ceremony
10:30 a.m. Transition Area Closes. All bikes must be removed

Mail Back Option

Coming in from out of town or can’t make it to check in on Saturday? For a fee of $15 - Receive your race materials, EXCEPT FOR YOUR TIMING CHIP AND T-SHIRT, in the mail at least 5 days prior to the race. You DO NOT need to attend the pre-race check-in. Your timing chip will be available for you at the VIP booth on race morning. You will need to return a signed waiver by mail and pick up your T-shirt at the finish line. Entries must be received by July 6th, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS!

VIP Option

For a fee of $30 - your race numbers, swim cap, goodie-bag and t-shirt will be ready for your pick-up on race morning. Pre-race check in is not mandatory, you will check-in on race morning at the VIP check-in table. You will sign a waiver and pick up your race materials. VIP athletes have reserved bike racks with their names in the transition area.
