Bus Shuttles

Half Marathon Bus Shuttles (Not for 5k Athletes)

Please note that these shuttles only go to to half marathon start. There are four bus transportation options to choose from when registering. (Bus shuttle timeline is listed above).

The State of California is now charging for parking at the Silver Strand State Beach since Proposition 21 did not pass in November 2010. Proposition 21 would have added an aditional $18 to the vehicle registration fees. As such, they are charging $8 per parking space for this event and an overall usage fee. The Silver Strand Half Marathon will absorb $4 of this cost. For those individual parking at Silver Strand State Beach, there will be an additional $4 for parking. This will be limited to the first 1,000 athletes to choose this option.

Option 1 ($4)- Drive your car to Silver Strand State Beach before the start. Take the bus shuttle to the start. Take the shuttle back to Silver Strand State Beach after the race.

Option 2 - Have someone drop you off at the start at Sunset Park and pick you up at the finish at the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza.

Option 3 - Park your car near the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza (limited parking). The first 200 participants ONLY may take the free bus shuttle to the start at 5:45 a.m. sharp. There will no service after this time.

Option 4 - Park your car near Coronado City Hall at 1825 Strand Way. (very limited parking)

LOEWS CORONADO RESORT SHUTTLES (Both Half & 5k): A shuttle for Half Marathon Participants staying at the hotel will be leaving race day promptly at 6:30AM from outside the front lobby.

Limited 5k shuttle service will be provided to the 5k start by the Lowes hotel. The 5k Shuttle will leave promptly at 6:00 AM from the same location, so be sure and arrive a little early.
